To be honest, the wash and shampoo contain 2% mild preservatives (food-grade, COSMOS-approved). A water-based product without preservatives becomes a breeding ground for bacteria, and you don't want that on a baby's skin. The lotion, however, is 100% natural origin, as its formula allows for this. We prioritize safety over a nicer number.
