Sensitive skin
Sensitive skin isn't weak skin.
It's skin that honestly tells you what it thinks. That's why we work with two ranges: completely fragrance-free for those who want to play it safe, and mild with natural fragrance for those who can tolerate scent but not aggression.

"Fragrance-free is not a quality label. It's a choice, and not everyone needs it."
The cosmetics industry has turned "fragrance-free" into a halo: as if every product with a scent is suspect. The truth is more nuanced. Fragrances, even natural ones, are among the top contact allergens, and those sensitive to them should avoid them completely. But most sensitive skins don't react to fragrance; they react to harsh cleansers, alcohol, and a damaged barrier. That's why we offer two lines and no dogma: know your trigger, choose your line. And if you're in doubt, fragrance-free is the safe start, not because fragrance is bad, but because exclusion is the fastest way to know.
Do you react to fragrance?
Choose line 1, completely fragrance-free. Zero fragrances, zero doubt.
Do you react to harshness?
Feel free to choose line 2: gently cleansed, softly naturally fragranced.

What is the difference between fragrance-free and unscented?
What is the difference between fragrance-free and unscented?
Fragrance-free means: no added fragrances, not even natural ones. Such a product may have the neutral, inherent scent of its ingredients. Manufacturers sometimes mask odours with certain substances; we do not do that.

For three consecutive evenings, apply a small amount to the crook of your elbow or behind your ear. If there's no reaction, your face is almost certainly fine too. Introduce new products one by one, with a week in between, otherwise you'll never know which one was the culprit.

Usually, it's not the product that has changed but your skin barrier: stress, winter, too many active ingredients, or showering too hot make the skin temporarily more permeable, causing everything to penetrate more intensely. First, restore the barrier (gentle cleansing, rich moisturization) before trying anything new.
Is there alcohol in these products?
Is there alcohol in these products?
Not as an active ingredient in the two tiers above. Also pay attention to this yourself: alcohol high on an ingredient list is often a greater irritant for sensitive skin than fragrance.

Our SPF products use mineral filters (zinc oxide and titanium dioxide), which are generally better tolerated by sensitive skin than chemical filters. However, they do contain natural fragrance, so they belong to the mild line, not the fragrance-free line. If you are specifically sensitive to fragrances, please test the product in the crook of your arm first.

That combination is the most common. Start with the Nourishing Rich Cream (fragrance-free and rich), and then check out the dry skin routine for hydration build-up.
