Pigment spots
Pigmentation spots are your skin's memories.
Of sun, of pimples, of hormones. They don't fade on their own, but they will with patience and the right combination. This routine fades what's there and prevents what wants to appear.
Three products, one mission: blur.
Kojic acid inhibits the production of excess pigment on three fronts simultaneously. The Targeted Dark Spot Care serum (1% kojic) addresses individual spots, the Pigment Perfecting Serum works across the entire face, and the Dark Spot Face Cream maintains day after day. Choose one approach or use all three.

"Without SPF, any pigment serum is like bailing out a boat with a hole in it."
Pigmentation spots occur because your skin defends itself against UV light with extra melanin. Any serum that fades spots will lose the battle if new melanin is produced daily: one unprotected day in the sun undoes weeks of serum work. That's why the order here is unshakeable: first SPF every morning, then fading. Protection is not the last step of this routine; it is the prerequisite for all others.

How long does it take for stains to fade?
How long does it take for stains to fade?
Expect 8 to 12 weeks of consistent use for visible results. Pigment is deep and fades layer by layer. Older and deeper spots take longer than fresh ones.
What is kojic acid?
What is kojic acid?
A substance that naturally occurs during fermentation (including rice, such as sake) and inhibits the enzyme that produces pigment. One of the best-researched natural pigment lighteners.
Can I use all three kojic products together?
Can I use all three kojic products together?
Yes, they are designed as a family: serum for the entire face, spot care for the blemishes, cream for maintenance. However, build up gradually: start with one product and add one per week.
Why do my sunspots return every summer?
Why do my sunspots return every summer?
Pigment cells that once became overactive remember that. The sun reactivates them. That's why SPF for pigmentation is not a summer product but a year-round habit, and your sticks are handy for on the go.
Is kojic acid safe for my skin tone?
Is kojic acid safe for my skin tone?
Yes, kojic acid only fades excess pigment in the areas where you apply it; it does not bleach your natural skin tone. If you have darker skin, introduce it extra slowly, as irritation itself can leave behind pigment.
Do I choose SPF 30 or SPF 50?
Do I choose SPF 30 or SPF 50?
SPF 50 filters approximately 98% of UVB rays, SPF 30 around 97%. The difference on paper is therefore small; the real difference comes from applying it generously enough and maintaining it daily. Therefore, choose the form that suits you best: the stick is convenient for on-the-go and reapplication over make-up, the cream for those who prefer to rub it in. All three work with mineral UV filters.
