How does the two-phase system work exactly?
The biphasic formula combines an oil-phase that dissolves make-up, sebum, and sunscreen, with a water-phase that hydrates and soothes the skin. Shaking before use briefly mixes the phases, allowing both actions to occur simultaneously during cleansing. The result: thorough make-up removal without drying out the skin.
Is this truly fragrance-free?
Yes, completely. No added fragrance, and none of the 26 EU allergens found in most cosmetics. This is one of our "Tier 1" sensitive-skin products — for those who want absolute certainty about scent and allergen content. A slight natural aroma may come from the plant extracts themselves, but that is not the same as added fragrance.
Can I use this around the eyes, even with contact lenses?
Yes, the product is mild enough for the eye contour. Avoid direct contact with the eye itself. For contact lenses: remove them before cleansing heavy eye make-up. For sensitive eyes, you can put the product on a cotton pad and gently press, instead of rubbing it in directly.
What is the difference with your Sensitive Skin Oil-To-Milk Cleanser?
Two different target groups. This Biphasic is completely fragrance-free — for very reactive skin and fragrance allergy sufferers. The Oil-To-Milk Cleanser is mildly formulated but does contain natural fragrance — for those who enjoy a nourishing cleansing ritual without having a fragrance allergy. Both are suitable for sensitive skin, but in a different way.
Can I use this in my double-cleanse routine?
Yes, ideal as the first step. The oil phase removes stubborn make-up, sunscreen, and sebum that water-based cleansers leave behind. Follow up with a second milder cleanser (such as a gel or milk) to leave the skin completely clean. For light daily make-up, one use is often sufficient.
Is that a natural scent?
Yes – at Mayteo, we don't use synthetic fragrances. All our fragrance compositions are 100% vegan and carefully formulated with natural aromatics, without phosphates or other synthetic preservatives.
