Does this product contain gluten?
Yes. The formula contains hydrolyzed wheat protein. If you have celiac disease or a wheat allergy, do not use this conditioner and choose another product from our hair care line.
Why only on the ends and not on my scalp?
Your ends are the oldest part of your hair and have been through years of washing, drying, and styling. That is where the damage is. Your roots are new hair that is already naturally nourished by your scalp. Conditioner on your roots will mainly make your hair go flat and greasy faster.
How long should I leave it in?
One to three minutes. Leaving it on longer yields no extra benefit; the active ingredients only need that amount of time. If you have fine hair, stick to one minute.
What exactly does wheat protein do?
They are small protein fragments that temporarily attach to damaged areas in your hair shaft. This makes your hair feel smoother and easier to comb. It does not permanently repair split ends—no product can—but it does hold them together and prevents the damage from traveling further up.
Why does the conditioner have a slight shimmer?
That comes from mica and titanium dioxide, two mineral pigments also used in makeup. They give the formula a pearlescent shine in the jar. They do not remain in your hair and rinse out completely.
Is this product certified?
This conditioner does not carry an ECOCERT certificate. The formula contains a synthetic conditioning agent that makes your hair easy to comb, which does not fit within the COSMOS standard. If you are specifically looking for certified hair care, please look at the products in our line where this is indicated.
Does this product contain nuts?
No, the product is labeled nut-free and is completely vegan.
How long will 370 ml last?
With two to three washes per week, about four months.
Is that a natural scent?
Yes – at Mayteo, we don't use synthetic fragrances. All our fragrance compositions are 100% vegan and carefully formulated with natural aromatics, without phosphates or other synthetic preservatives.
