What is the difference between this eye cream and your other eye products?
We have three eye products, each with its own purpose:
- Smoothing Eye Cream (this one): light hydrating eye cream with ceramides — ideal as a first eye care product from age 25 or as a daily universal eye cream.
- Calming Eye Cream: for sensitive, reactive eye contours, formulated to be milder.
- Retinol Alternative Eye Serum: premium anti-aging product with Bidens Pilosa and mineral pigments for immediate effect — for those who want to address visible wrinkles or dark circles.

Can this cream firm the skin around my eyes?
Yes. The product contains ceramide precursors that strengthen the skin barrier, plus Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline which supports collagen synthesis. With regular use (4-6 weeks), the skin around the eyes will become firmer and smoother. For visible results on fine lines, consistent daily use is recommended.
How often should I use this?
Safe for daily use, morning and evening. For most people, consistent use twice a day is sufficient for visible results. Feel free to start with once a day (in the evening) and build up to twice a day if your skin tolerates it well.
Is this suitable under makeup?
Yes, the texture has been specifically developed to absorb quickly without a greasy or sticky feeling. Wait 1-2 minutes after application before applying your concealer or foundation. The cream provides a smoother base for your makeup and helps prevent concealer from creasing into fine lines.
Does this product contain allergens or nuts?
The product contains horse chestnut extract (Aesculus Hippocastanum) and natural essential oils with EU allergens (Limonene, Linalool, Coumarin, Geraniol). Although horse chestnut is not a classic nut, we recommend that people with a known cross-reaction to chestnuts or very sensitive skin first perform a patch test or consider our Calming Eye Cream.
Is that a natural scent?
Yes – at Mayteo, we don't use synthetic fragrances. All our fragrance compositions are 100% vegan and carefully formulated with natural aromatics, without phosphates or other synthetic preservatives.
